As I think more about it -- I don't get high-high's any more nor low-lows. Not like I did when I was younger. I guess the inversion of this saying is true. I don't expect great things either so I'm never unhappy nor happy.
I think there's a time and a place for letting the high highs ride and even the low lows ride. Part of life. I will recommend a book shortly that has a bunch of your Grandpa's wisdom. Probably the best book I've ever read.
