The people who make decisions for stuff like this don't understand exponential growth + time lags. % of patient beds goes 80% 81% 81% 83% 84% 86% and then boom 90% 98% etc. and because you're on a time lag you get really fucked with cases streaming in well over the # of beds.pic.twitter.com/Mpu8yv9RvJ
We Americans have decided to live with Covid-19 because our business, jobs and stock markets are as important as some dead grandparents. Americans have a very open attitude for death: "this is life". Our rights/liberty r more cherished than keeping ourselves alive. Hope I'm wrong
You're not. It's a cultural difference between China and the USA. I'm American, but I think that Chinese treatment of elders is way superior. Though, at the same time, I resent it when government tells me what to do. These are complex issues.
