I give Trumps recent decision to stop immigration of h1b visa people a D-. We need more talented people in this country. It is easy to hire them from the US over the internet (avoiding payroll taxes). Making it easier for unemployed to get hired is a nice thought, however.

I wish it was part of a broader workforce strategy, of which immigration is a component. This feels more like trying to get reelected by playing to the base.
