The more emotional someone is when expressing a view, the more likely it is that that view is incorrect.

What if emotion can convert an incorrect view into a correct view? This thought popped in my head bc of the story of your court case where you won by appealing to “doing everything right and still getting screwed” bc you only had an email address and no address to serve.
That's an interesting thought. I think emotional appeals are convincing, but I'm not sure that means they signal the truth. In my case, while I was showing emotion and I was pissed, I unemotionally calculated that showing emotion was a calculated risk.
