At a car dealership, May was a record month for them. Inventory shortages now from covid disruptions and lots of sales.

Kinda opposite of cars. You can see the demand for indoor fitness equipment, but if anything with commuting down, car sales should be down all things equal.

data point of one: but i bought after getting by with public transpo and ride sharing for years, covid safety makes those risks untenable for ppl that can afford to opt out? guessing larger thing might be laid off young ppl tho....

I forgot about that. Thanks for correction. I’m in no public transport Texas, but to your point car sales rose in China for exactly this reason.
