I hadn't heard of this Hamilton Helmer guy (though I own his book, which I have yet to read). He is the truth. A lot of dudes talk competitive advantage, and while I don't totally agree with all his concepts, but he is good. http://investorfieldguide.com/helmer/
His lucid explanation of Google's non-brand competitive advantage in search was particularly impressive. He seemed to do it off-the-cuff, which was even more so.

I do not like the Hamilton Helmer guy. He is right, but he is very calculatedly opportunistic and sharkish in his ideas and behavior. Some can say? "Hey that's business" Some others may say that's self-serving narcissistic behavior that is non-productive for society.

I have been around enough "business" to determine what is good for most is good business, and what is profitable for some is also good business, but not a good life to live.
