The events of the past few months have been filtered through an extremely partisan lens. Neither side is perfect, but one side has clearly had far worse predictions (i.e. has been less aligned with objective reality).
I think I also reject the premise. Lots of other variables to look at besides lib/conserv

Political orientation is one of the best predictors of how people are reacting to coronavirus. Not saying it's the only one. Idiots and hacks on both sides, but something about the right caused them to dismiss coronavirus as a hoax early on.

I think I’m probably on the right, so I’m an exception I guess. If I had to guess, it’s just two things: 1) it happened in blue states. New Yorkers wouldn’t believe it if they didn’t all know someone who died 2) conservatives don’t like to be told by govt wha to do.
