Aren’t olfactory nerves unusually robust (in fact i read abt experiments to use olfactory nerves to repair the spinal cord) so hopefully they will eventually regenerate.

Amazing how you have mastered time travel to know this loss is permanent. Usually the end of an event in this case a life needs to have occurred before such a determination could be seen. As long as nerves regenerate the sense may revive. Try Hericium erinaceus extract.

Fair. "Permanent" was the wrong word to use. Up until now it has not recovered and its been almost 3 months.
