If you are extremely industrious and organized, you reinvest, hire people, and attempt to become a scale player. Most who try this blow their money (IMO) as most who spot unique arbitrages don't have the organization tallent.

If you are more an "ideas guy" who can spot stuff and act before others, you need to milk the profits and cash out as much $$ as possible. When profitability fades, you close shop (with a pile of loot for your efforts).

True in entrepreneurship too, I think. I'm an ideas guy who is trying to not be one, but eventually I'll stop and just go back to being an ideas guy.
