I find it difficult to argue against them banning a fraternity for branding people. I wouldn't call it self-reflection. I'd call it discipline, and justified discipline at that.

A better example of business self-reflection would be a beer co pulling an ad campaign showing a crowded bar when the context of a crowded bar has changed because of social distancing. They made a business decision around promotion based on changing environment.

It's clearly the same thing. The same way MTG was fine with printing allegedly racist cards for multiple decades, Dartmouth was fine with AD branding the occasional consenting pledge. Dartmouth didn't know that was happening? Give me a break. Self-reflection.
