Sorry, did not get the nomenclature right, NERDS! WQf4. . . Check Second moves: BKb8, not possible because WQ position at f4. BKd8, not possible because WB position at f6. BKd6, not possible because WQ position at f4. If BKc8, WRa8, Checkmate. If BKb6, WBd8, Checkmate.

Not sure what needs more forcing. WK is in check. I did not get the nomenclature right because I was trying to refer to the numbers top down like a logical person unfamiliar with the arcane nomenclature system would halfway through.pic.twitter.com/DLXvBNRL2e

How is WQf4. . . Check Second moves: BKb8, not possible because WQ position at f4. BKd8, not possible because WB position at f6. BKd6, not possible because WQ position at f4. If BKc8, WRa8, Checkmate. If BKb6, WBd8, Checkmate. Not the solution?

I can tell you, but it might be more fun for you to figure it out. All your King move analysis is right.

So the more nuanced thing is he can move BPd7 to BPd6 to remove teh initial check instead of moving BK.

In that case, I must mitigate the threat of the BQ first, so WPh4?
