I thought it was sucked up by vacuum, but no, there's actually an screw shaped augur inside the arm which works as an elevator for the grainpic.twitter.com/SfxGm7XYVx

This youtube video shows it in action. It's very cool. At first I thought there's no way this is an augur because then you'd miss a lot of the grain towards the end but they have a solution for that!
