Point taken. Im pretty contrarian and don’t love how we romanticize Tiananmen Square protests, but minimize our own. I don’t know what happened (who does? You probably know better than I do), but still hard to argue with prcs transformation lead by Deng.
Nobody "delivered" anything to Chinese people. Chinese people worked hard and earned everything. They actually deserve much more.
Agreed but hard to take the totally messed up communist system and the mentalities that come with it and turn that around. I have a lot respect for Deng. He was exiled by Mao and put under house arrest iirc. Look at how Russia did in comparison. Disaster.
