Arguments and decisions made from a place of emotion are almost always devoid of consideration of higher order effects. This is so widely recognized that our legal system even takes it into consideration, and provides leniency from, crimes of passion or temporary insanity.
Haha I think that’s going to depend which ideologies win out. Do we let our baser instincts guide our decisions as a society? Or do we embrace our ability for higher order thinking?
