I’ve always sent dollars to any of the major Chinese banks, often through HKG. They get drawn in RMB.
Does anyone know of a good way for a US business to send RMB to personal and business accounts in China? Transferwise isn't letting me do it. As I understand it, it's difficult because 1) RMB is not freely convertible currency 2) Many companies don't like taking US clientspic.twitter.com/lPjwamhIvg

You should ask or convince your counterparty to accept Tether (USDT). It's a digital currency pegged to the USD and commonly used in China. If this is a repeat payment relationship, it'll save you significantly in fees & time (although first time will have a learning curve).
