I assume somebody has been editing Wikipedia again, if they are talking about this monster in such glowing terms...
I don't know the history super well. I just know he is the founder of Haiti and that he led a slave revolt which led to one of the first examples of black rule. Suppose he was horrible... I mean...he kind of gets a free pass for leading a slave rebellion (he wasn't a slave).

Slave owner himself, actually. But he completely destroyed the richest colony in the Caribbean, so it's about like anointing Robert Mugabe for his contributions to society.
