"Tribalism" is frowned upon, but we'd be better off thinking of our union as an agreement among many tribes than trying to force it into being a homogenous soup

Hindus are not a homogenous group Uncle .They are divided into various castes and sub castes which completely differ in dietary habits etc etc
I see extremely strong nationalism amongst Hindus though. I know about castes.

Not really what you read on media is just one part of the story .In South India regional nationalism overtakes Hindu nationalism
