Maybe a dumb question: Instead of shooting them with rubber bullets and tear gas, why isn’t the gov’t organizing ways to hear what the protestors have to say? People get violent when they feel they have no voice.
What do you have in mind? I saw in Philadelphia they have cordoned off areas where they can assemble and most cities are allowing marches.

I’m not sure. Some things seem like we know how to do: - hearings in congress / legislatures - long form discussions in media (old school stuff we don’t do any more) - leaders forming panels and task forces to get recommendations Things we’d do if solving was a priority.

I think it takes a little while for those hearings to get scheduled, especially with covid out and about. Agree with 2 and 3. Some of it happening as hoc though. Imho, a big problem is our president. He either isn’t trying hard enough or can’t United the country.pic.twitter.com/vq0f3ehVWY
