When Deng Xiaoping first mobilized against the protesters, the army division around Beijing refused to comply. It was only after bringing in battalions from faraway provinces, soldiers without sympathy and much info, that they ended the protests.pic.twitter.com/IZq50H2EKw

Social media and racial allegiances may complicate enforcement if the protests continue to build. With 30 million plus out of work and in an uncertain economic situation (rent was due today), we could be sitting on a real powder keg.

All it takes is one incident whether it’s rioters killing a cop or or cops killing someone on camera and this thing could get a lot worse.
