Depends on what you sell!
Saw a poll of large established e-commerce businesses asking what % of revenue was spent on salaries. Almost all responses were 1-2%. I attribute that to overseas outsourcing and Amazon's huge cut of revenue. What's non-Amazon e-com look like?

Where you see this poll? That's 20k per million which seems near impossible at scale.

1-2% sounds tiny. Very interesting stat. For us, as a sole prop, anything that isn’t an expense comes home. So hopefully the percentage is large.

If you are doing 100K per month in gross revenue on amazon, 2K per month is enough for salaries if you hire abroad.
