Yes and this applies to beyond tech as well. Many people start businesses because they are “craftsmen” in their arena. Crossfit gym owners are notorious for being great coaches but not good businesspeople, for example.
Many (most?) great founders only want to work on two things: strategy and product. Unfortunately, to get there, your company needs to be big and profitable enough (which is hard) to hire out: - legal - accounting & bookkeeping - sales - IT - HR - Manufacturing/Development etc.
