Entrepreneurship is best taught via apprenticeship/fellowship, I think. So, I’ve been noodling on this model: 1-I select from applicants of young folks. 2-pay a 3-mth stipend (~$4k month?). No obligation. 3-I provide regular coaching on biz ideas & starting a biz 1/2

4-If it we both want, we cofound a business based on the learnings during the stipend period. I’d invest and consult but not take active role. 5-They be CEO. I join them on BoD. Constraint is biz idea must cash flow <6 mths & need <$50k to start. Thoughts? 2/2

Write a book instead teaching people what you’d teach your young partners. You’ll get even better deal flow and be happier. I’ve partnered with two people younger and less experienced than I am. I didn’t see a good way to do it without putting in a ton of work.

Interesting. In my limited experience, when I work with very talented people, they start to achieve like crazy -- enough where it's usually best for me to just get out of their way. Content marketing is an interesting angle though!

So if it’s best that you get out of their way what do you need to coach for? Fwiw, im increasing leaning towards this. When I get older and hopefully more rich I want to do VC. Book seems like a good way to get deal flowz

1- Early on, they are green but their "slope" of learning is very high. Later on, I find it's just a nudge/point here and there during tough decisions. 2- For clarity, these wouldn't necessarily be VC/angel style. SMB would be just fine and maybe preferred.

1-I hear ya. 2-not necessarily. It could be b2b services, healthcare, education, whatever. Just low starting capital needed and cash-flowing per the parameters I said earlier. I've got enough "pay me someday" deal-flow at this moment! :-)
