I made the conscientious decision to disengage in culture war stuff roughly after a year of moving here. It takes up sooo much of your limited free time and energy and you benefit nothing.

On a very different note I can't help thinking maybe this is a factor in why innovation/entrepreneurship is in decline. Energy is directed elsewhere.
