One thing worse than being blamed for the wrong reason: being praised for the wrong reason.
At least when you’re praised for the wrong reason you can deflect it and seem respectable. Not so when you’re blamed.

I don’t get praised that often so I don’t know haha. I’m surprised you say that. I would think that you would be able to do it without offending and with appearing modest and not a stickler for what they may consider minor details.
