The celebrated strategy in Sweden, which I argued was just a bottom up lockdown, is also causing massive job loss, which causes suicide. I just don’t get it. I’m pretty sure that, after controlling for covid deaths are way down.

Hard for me to imagine that suicides are going to dwarf these numbers. And then why even equate the deaths? People who commit suicide do so by choice (arguably) whereas people who die from covid do not. This downstream deaths argument makes no sense.pic.twitter.com/4n7UIHUxGd
