“All these 77 million Baby Boomers are ready to sell SMBs and retire rich!” Nope. Buyers approaching Boomers often find they have no interest in selling. “What would I do with my time if I sold?” It’s confusing to us GenX/Millenials. The difference is generational. 1/x

Stats on Boomers are stunning (or they are to me): -When retired Boomers return to work, 80% of the time it’s because they *want* to. -Few (34%) will trade more work flexibility over career (in their 60s!) -68% of Boomers plan to work past retirement age 2/x

(Acknowledged of stereotypes here & there are always exceptions.) See the mindset in this graphic from a preso I attended on generational differences. Gen X/Millenials mostly ‘work to live.’, Boomers often don't do work-life balance. 3/xpic.twitter.com/79x2aD14Lj

My father ('41) worked endlessly. He never stopped. My mentor ('42) is similar. He was forced into retirement and he still works tirelessly. Your thread matches up completely with my anecdata.

Ah, thanks for the subtle correction. I thought '41 and '42 were boomers. Duh! That is pre-end of ww2!

What happens with the generations is they blur when you're on the cusp. So it's highly likely they shared Boomer traits since they were born right then during the war.
