      “All these 77 million Baby Boomers are ready to sell SMBs and retire rich!” Nope. Buyers approaching Boomers often find they have no interest in selling. “What would I do with my time if I sold?” It’s confusing to us GenX/Millenials. The difference is generational. 1/x

      Stats on Boomers are stunning (or they are to me): -When retired Boomers return to work, 80% of the time it’s because they *want* to. -Few (34%) will trade more work flexibility over career (in their 60s!) -68% of Boomers plan to work past retirement age 2/x

      This is why (after talking to tons of Boomer SMB owners), I finally listened. What mindset that would cause someone to work so long they'd “die at their desk” than to be separated from their company? If a job is tied to identity, then selling can be a loss of purpose. 4/x

      So, what if you’re one of the people out buying SMBs from Boomers? I’m sorry to report many of these folks are only going to sell when health or other factors beyond their control force them to. So, be patient on buying these Boomer businesses. We’re early. It’ll come. 5/x
