Private equity is like the academics of business. Plenty of opinions on what should be done but no experience in actual execution.

This is exactly why PPP should have (and did) excluded PE funds. We bent over backwards to save jobs, at a significant expense. PE “fiduciary duty” would have them act otherwise. Not judging, but that’s their reality versus most all other small biz owners.
I feel you on sentiment, but I'm not sure how we could make this happen execution wise. What is "private equity" you know?

Well, the PPP program has the 500 employee limit with a look-through provision, which excludes most private equity funds. I don’t hate private equity, I used to work in PE, I just wish there was a better model.
