Thought about it this morning. Without a cure, vaccine, or evidence that the virus doesn’t give you permanent immunity we’re going to be having lockdowns on and off for years.

Pretty sure this is right. Masks, social distancing, etc just increase the time between lockdowns (absent cute, vaccine etc). https://twitter.com/molson_hart/status/1249140441364209664?s=21 …https://twitter.com/Molson_Hart/status/1249140441364209664 …
Molson Hart added,
Molson Hart @Molson_HartEvery time you do a lockdown, the virus comes back slower, because, because more people have been infected (and thus immune), the rate of infection is lower. This buys you time for vaccine or treatment. That's why this works! Needs to be a federally led strategy. /END pic.twitter.com/gxxKeMUArhShow this thread2 replies 0 retweets 3 likesShow this thread -
Btw, I should’ve made it clear that this is the situation in the USA. Island countries or places with totalitarian governments can have a different sequence play out.

The more I think about this the more I am confused. If an American wants to travel to a foreign country which has managed covid well, they’re going to have to pay for a double covid test and then wait 3 days minimum in isolation. Just don’t see the light at end of tunnel here.

I don’t really feel like spending the next 2-3 years in semi quarantine in the United States. Maybe I should just move to Taiwan or New Zealand or something to live a normal life until this nonsense passes.
