      Thought about it this morning. Without a cure, vaccine, or evidence that the virus doesn’t give you permanent immunity we’re going to be having lockdowns on and off for years.

      Every time you do a lockdown, the virus comes back slower, because, because more people have been infected (and thus immune), the rate of infection is lower.       Btw, I should’ve made it clear that this is the situation in the USA. Island countries or places with totalitarian governments can have a different sequence play out.

      India has 4x the population, in 3x the space of USA. Total infections have only just crossed US total deaths. (Right now tracking at 40% recoveries). Definitely not an Island or a dictatorship.

      Matter of scale & density. You've a population that's Bigger than Africa. Or Europe plus America in 1/3rd American land or 1/10th African land. Containment will happen over the year. That's the natural course of things. Even China with its Govt now has new clusters in N-E.

      And if it's got 1/20th US infections... How do you say it's not being contained. It is. Bangalore has as much population as New York, so far it's got 9 deaths from Covid and is now opening up.
