In court, a corporation must hire a lawyer while a non-corporation person can appear pro-se. The employees and owners of a corporation cannot defend the corporation in court. I have no idea why this is and I think it's stupid.

First I’ve heard of it but possibly because the implication that employees will default to saying whatever is good their employer.

Employees are called to testify all the time though and if that were an issue why are shareholders and the CEO also barred?
