      Who are the candidates to be the next Elon Musk? Sure, Elon is once in a generation, but there are many more people on the planet today than then there were when we had Ford, Edison, Bell etc. Surely there's some young person who's now currently where Elon was with Paypal!

      I assume you haven’t read/listened Musk bio book? I’d be very surprised if you have and are putting him in one bucket with Ford, Edison and Bell, and above Bezos.

      No doubt. They were true inventors. Bezos is well, inventor equivalent in the business domain. Musk is a brilliant visionary, promoter and clearly leader. I admire the guy... but he’s nowhere near those if your question was about world-changing inventions.

      I differ with you on two points: 1. Bezos is more similar to Musk than you give him credit for. What has he personally invented? 2. Edison, Bell, and Ford - yes they were inventors but I just mentioned them for their positive effect on the world's tech.

      I guess #2 isn't a difference, but what I'm saying is that, while Musk isn't inventing (I'm sure his name is on a ton of patents), he is having an Edison-esque effect on the world.
