Meditation does not work for me. I keep doing it for longer and longer sessions (10 minutes is my max here - I am not yet guru/yogi level) and I try doing different things (focussing on my breath, having no thoughts, letting thoughts pass through me) and I very little out of it.

at the sky and it was white (eyes closed) and then it kinda turned a different color which was fun. Don’t feel enlightened in any way. Life is same as before. I feel like I could cut straight to the detachment “meditation” without the 20 minutes of suffering. Double checked. Yes

The benefits (focus, calm) for me kick in around 20 minutes. Sam Harris’s book is a good guide to using meditation to better understand you mind.

Thanks. I'm going to have to bite the bullet and do it for an hour or something
