Not sure how to articulate this idea: As I age, I find myself taking large bodies of information and mentally summarizing it into very simple concepts. I absolutely do the same thing. The downside is when people ask me why I hold a certain opinion about something, I say I assume the incentives and everyone gets very cross with me. "Well you don't KNOW that the banks are greedy! Have you researched it?" They miss the point.
