Twitter followers who have been more up on the virology news than me, a sincere question: Does prior infection with a different coronavirus create some limited immunity for SARS-CoV-2? What's the research like about using one as a pseudo vaccine? Like Cowpox/Smallpox? Thanks

Don’t know (and I don’t think anyone does) but don’t think so. Some corona viruses cause common colds and for that your immunity is short lived, so unlikely that your short term cold immunity would give you long term covid immunity. Will read about cowpox smallpox - interesting.
