I’d love to buy a huge NYC apartment on the cheap. Probably a dream though.
Many are predicting the demise of New York City. Who wants to work from a cramped apartment? If working habits change enough to cause an exodus out of NYC, office real estate would also have to be converted into residential, solving the cramped apt problem.

I don’t need to be in NY for at least 4 months. Office not opening until 9/7 earliest and will have 6 weeks notice, but no plans to move. We do at least have a balcony, and frankly a lot of space for 2 people. Lucky we’re in Astoria with a below market apartment.
