I think my followers already understand this, but it's worth repeating anyways. Covid is not over. We are nowhere near herd immunity. This thing is going to keep killing & hospitalizing people. I have a healthy 30 year old friend who just spent 2 weeks in the hospital with it.

When you first contract HIV, you get a flu-like sickness, which then subsides, but you die 10 years later. Not saying this is the case, but we have no idea if covid does similar stuff.

For COVID-19, recovered patients eventually have no virus in their system (in many countries definition of "recovered patient" was until recently, two PCR tests showing no virus at least 24 hours apart). So very likely it won't kill you in 10 years.
