Many younger workers have never experienced a recession where the leverage in hiring was with the employers — the supply of workers outstripped the jobs available. Will be interesting to see how people react on both the job seeker and hunter side in the coming years.

Depends on area. Many young workers in the Midwest have been in this environment. My guess other areas in this country exist as well. We just hired an entry level accountant out of a pool of 100. She’s hungry, hardworking and ready to learn.
Word, depends on area and field of employment. I wouldn’t be surprised if comp sci peeps still have the leverage for example, whereas male unskilled hasn’t since the 80s.

Yes, his experience is clearly limited to tech, and probably SF/SV in particular. But he's not wrong that if we don't see that V-shaped recovery then... the times they are a changin.
