High base, from the Maharaja who ruled before. Literacy, yes. Education: not quite. Healthcare: remains to be seen. There has been emphasis on Ayurveda, that would be entirely due to temples & Maharaja's influence. Gift of Communism is majority Keralites go elsewhere for jobs.
Despite having moderate income, Kerala province ranks highly in education and healthcare. Sometimes this is attributed to the communist party’s strong presence in the province.
