Start, middle and end. Depends on the sweet. Some have to be *necessarily* eaten alongside Neem-water. (Neem is bitter!)

Neem water sounds terrible. I do like salt lassis though.

Salt lassis... Again not consumed that way in parts apart from Northern plains(which border desert, hit 47°C in summers.) Most places its buttermilk after a meal instead. If traditional meal, betel leaf gets included.

Deep South, Bangalore. But, I have more or less been at/to most major places here. Climate is much more 'tropical' here.

I don't. But I can happily tell you which dishes face the best meat / coastal food. And their spice levels.
None is a dessert/sweet though: that's mostly tied to harvest/farming times.
And most aren't eaten on festivals.1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

Shit. How'd that happen? I thought that bangalore was meat-eating country?

Nope. Mostly vegetarian. Most meat-heavy places trend to being Coastal here. The year-round temperatures ensure that. And until recently meat eaters would also consume say about twice or thrice in a week, not more.

I always thought of the northwest and north as vegetarian with all of the South as being meat-eating. Thanks for the info.

Ah no. Not as much. Some Chicken and Mutton eating, but until say a decade or so ago, would be once a week-ish thing. Parts where there was Mughal/Muslim or direct British rule or influence for a time even within interior have more meat eating practices. South is more coastal.
