Before I go down this road, I want to say that I did not do an exhaustive search through all his tweets looking for an apology or mea culpa for what follows.
Usually, when people call @nntaleb out, they're wrong.
Maybe he apologized. I don't know.

@nntaleb published this on February 23rd. The whole paper is prescient and brilliant. Note the general precautionary principle paragraph. But let's see what Taleb does when he has some "skin on the line" (different from his definition).pic.twitter.com/3G5mzEQtoH

The next day he's hosting a multi-day gathering. You'll notice that neither he nor any of the participants are wearing masks. But don't worry, he's got an answer for that:pic.twitter.com/JJOL6VCtul

No mask, no problem. Watch out Nassim, I will be blocking you for the next such violation for hypocrisy.pic.twitter.com/8ZYtiD2TXK

At least he's not congregating with others in tight spaces. Everyone seems to be pretty far away from each other. Oh...wait... never mind.pic.twitter.com/DRpJXSSfV8

After this apparent (I did not exhaustively search every tweet over the past 3 months) hypocrisy. It is
@nntaleb's license which should be marked with a "Do not treat for COVID19". Now, as I said I am a huge believer in the principles he teaches.3 replies 0 retweets 2 likesShow this thread -

Replying to @JoeReger8 @nntaleb
He has developed a cult by weeding out diagreement in his replies. He has an astonishingly good record for accuracy but he gets things wrong sometimes and AFAICT he never owns up to it, instead behaving petulantly.

I've noticed that he uses his intelligence not to get to the truth, but to make the best arguments possible for his side of the story. Another way of putting that: He's very good at mental gymnastics. He'd make a great lawyer.

I've seen him admit that he's wrong for minor stuff. I think his arrogance sometimes gives him issues. He's so confident about what the best way to act is that he'll wrongly banish people for not conforming to those ideas. He also falls prey to miscommunication easily.

I feel like a lot of the people he's blocked or has big disagreements with, he actually agrees with. They're saying the same stuff in different ways.
