Before I go down this road, I want to say that I did not do an exhaustive search through all his tweets looking for an apology or mea culpa for what follows.
Usually, when people call @nntaleb out, they're wrong.
Maybe he apologized. I don't know.

@nntaleb published this on February 23rd. The whole paper is prescient and brilliant. Note the general precautionary principle paragraph. But let's see what Taleb does when he has some "skin on the line" (different from his definition).pic.twitter.com/3G5mzEQtoH

The next day he's hosting a multi-day gathering. You'll notice that neither he nor any of the participants are wearing masks. But don't worry, he's got an answer for that:pic.twitter.com/JJOL6VCtul

No mask, no problem. Watch out Nassim, I will be blocking you for the next such violation for hypocrisy.pic.twitter.com/8ZYtiD2TXK

At least he's not congregating with others in tight spaces. Everyone seems to be pretty far away from each other. Oh...wait... never mind.pic.twitter.com/DRpJXSSfV8

After this apparent (I did not exhaustively search every tweet over the past 3 months) hypocrisy. It is
@nntaleb's license which should be marked with a "Do not treat for COVID19". Now, as I said I am a huge believer in the principles he teaches.Show this thread -
As such, I @'d him multiple times (though he may not see this because he muted me for a separate incident in which I called him out for an error). "Let's see what type of decision you would make if you had organized a conference" This is my booth at Toy Fair 2020.pic.twitter.com/XmtS2isid9

Toy Fair 2020 was held from Feb 22 through Feb 25. AFAIK our company was the only one to cancel for the coronavirus. I lost a lot of money, took a lot of heat, and most painfully looked insane to my employees who were looking forward to attending. The right call. /End.
