The only reason they don’t have more economic immigrants: 1) language 2) they’re more XEnophobic than USA

Don’t get it again. So cities: huge economic energy, the feeling that everything is getting better all the time. New buildings, new transport, bridges going up everywhere. Towns: again same economic energy with considerably more economic opportunity.

Start a factory, buy from a local one, start a Taobao shop. For any physical good you are #1. For pure tech, funding is widely available and things move fast fast fast, we are behind in many areas.

What do you think of the rest of SEA? Thailand/Vietnam/Indonesia/Philippines?

Not qualified to have an opinion. 2 weeks in nam but I don’t speak the language. 3 days in Manila. That said, Vietnam has some swag. I think they’ll go far far far, though they lack chinas amazing work effect (have other positives though). Not bullish on PH.
