California did everything right, shutting down the state before it needed to. Deaths per 100,000: 5. Florida and Texas did everything wrong, acting too late, leaving beaches open. Deaths per 100,000: Florida: 6, Texas: 3.

Severe lockdowns obviously help. That's inarguable. The question is how much more severe lockdowns help over what Sweden is alleged to be doing. What I'm saying is that it's really hard to tell.

They obviously do. If you have a properly enforced severe lockdown then the virus cannot spread. What's it going to do? Spread via the internet?

Viruses are small particles that are transmitted between humans through fluids. You can get a virus from a blood transfusion, sex, inhaling airborne particles, or applying virus-laden fluid to your orifices. If you prevent these from occurring, the virus will not spread.

Awesome. Now, what’s your evidence that shows how an indescriminate lockdown (based on no evaluation of actual case spread) has helped prevent the negative consequences of those small particles versus states with a lesser lockdown?

there is a rigorous paper from Germany that proves this. And less rigourous but quite compelling research from Israel.
