I’m in my 6th year being in a CEO peer group run by @tomcuthbert in SATX.
These are groups that meet regularly and provide peer input, guidance, education, and fellowship. The idea is that this helps everyone get better at life/business
It’s been transformative (for me).

4. I wouldn’t join if mindset is off (see previous comment). It’s all about that. Do you really care about improving and are you willing to have the courage + effort to do so? If you can’t say yes, then pass and spend the money on nice things.

Thanks! Have you ever done SCORE? I like it and it’s free haha Are any of these groups oriented more towards CEOs as opposed to founders/owners?

1. I have found it more useful in trying situations. The harder things are in the world, the more value people seem to be getting. This does greatly depend on the facilitator of the group and the quality of them. That’s the #1 factor in how good the group will be IMHO.

2. I have seen it doesn’t really matter. We have B2G people, B2C, B2B, professional services — you name it. More important is the mindset of the member. Are you of a growth mindset? Wanting to be challenged? Willing to commit and work? Being in a group requires work to benefit

Vistage - one of most $. Most intense (depends on the chair running it somewhat) EO - great parties. TAB - halfway in between. YPO - don’t have a ton of experience but seems to have a ton of ballers in it. There are also some crazy ones like Tiger21 ($30k+ a year).
