Then why not the sides of my head? There are parts of my body without hair. I'm confused!

You actually have hair everywhere, only places that do no grow hair (most of the time) is your palm, your lips and the bottom of your feet; but you have hair everywhere from the ear lobes to your forehead. Some areas have hair so transparent and small that you can't see them.
