Big us toy company went bankrupt. They owe their Chinese suppliers a lot of money. One of my buddies is doing due diligence and asked the supplier if they could sell him the product they used to make for the bankrupt co. “No we sell direct on Amazon ourselves now”

America is (as usual) asleep at wheel. We’re going to go from Made in China to Made in and Sold by China. (And fulfilled by Amazon haha)

I think this should be allowed, to the extent that they compete fairly and our system allows for fair competition. 1. They don't 2. It doesn't

European companies used to complain that American & Japanese competition was similarly unfair. From an Old World perspective it’s interesting to see US companies struggling with Chinese state capitalism (National Socialism).

Our system is fucked though. If they beat us fair and square so be it.

The whole "if we trade with China, they'll eventually become freer naturally" hypothesis of the last half-century has to be one of the largest unforced errors in history.

It did work up to a point, though. Most young Chinese in 2020 prefer American style entertainment & individualism to Commie self sacrifice.
