Just did a UPS zoom call because I'm trying to get some better rates for our small lightweight packages (they have a program called Mail Innovations). And I asked "so where are volume year over year". "up ~40%" "What are you going to do at Christmas?" Their faces:pic.twitter.com/3U8yI7XH1F

I'm worried that they're not expecting the demand to continue.

Yes, thanks. Matches up with the report and what they said. They said there's been a huge shift away from commercial shipping to residential. Surprising that their revenues are down!

Both UPS and FedEx are still B2B companies at their core and that's where all the margin is. Delivering to a customer's door is extremely expensive. Terrible headwind from mix shift towards consumer delivery. USPS handling last mile has been key. Or Amazon contractors

Yes, but as density increases and with people working from home last-mile residential becomes less costly and more profitable.

By the way, the up 40% was for a majority residential service called mail innovations.
