I suspect even if there's a resurgence in the winter, lots of Americans won't comply with total lockdowns. COVID deaths will be normalized. Basically, our policy will become de facto "sacrifice the old and weak" but we'll call it something else. Agree/disagree?

Agree, unless it just starts OVERWHELMING hospitals, then there'll be a local lockdown. We can call it "thoughts and prayers".

It is interesting to see the cognitive contortions people are engaging in to make themselves feel better about sacrificing some fraction of Americans. If we're going to do it, we should be honest.
