I have a contrarian opinion about the payroll protection part of the cares act. It gives you 2.5 months of your payroll as loan which...later will be forgiven if you can show it was necessary. Everyone I know is taking it, regardless of whether they need it. Bad idea, IMHO.

I have never once had a business interaction with the government at any level where I was like “wow that was great”. Every single time it has been get me the fuck out of here. 10 years of business. I once got economic incentives to move my business to a small town.

Be so sure that money doesn’t have some terrible strings attached. Our government (govt in general) has a wonderful way if taking a simple situation and turn it into economic quicksand. You may get your 2.5 months of payroll and regret it later, especially if you didn’t need it.
